Cotton is featured in the newest book by L. Wilder, the president of his MC who has his own load of problems. He’s been fighting with his cousin since he took over for his uncle, and that battle has finally come to a head. One of the only women who can help control him is Cass, the woman he wants be feels he can never have.

This one was a bit different, because it read like Cass and Cotton had already hooked up but just didn’t solidify their relationship until the beginning of this book. Cass is equal parts insecure about her relationship with Cotton while trying to portray herself as being a tough girl who can take care of herself. The story progressed pretty quickly, with Cotton making moves to try and eliminate the threat to his MC, and he does so in a way that’s wrapped up really quickly. It was a bit hard to really invest in the love story between Cotton and Cass because it seemed like they were together from the very beginning with little buildup and even fewer bumps in their road to love. It read more like a novella than an actual novel, and I would have liked to have seen more of their story and the growth in their relationship. If you have read the rest of the series you will like this addition, and if not then I would recommend starting the series today.
