Jewel is a tease!!! Til Death tells the story of Marcus (who we met
during the Joker’s Wrath series) and Katia, whose unconventional relationship
is told between flashbacks and moments during the present. What started as a
one night stand morphs into a marriage, and for Katia, love of an unattainable
man. Marcus is a man who is one a mission, and everything he does is calculated
to ensure he has the best possible outcome. Katia is just one more person in
his path that he uses to satisfy his needs.
I
loved the fact that this story was so unexpected, with several twists and turns
that I didn’t see coming. I haven’t had a story take me on a rollercoaster like
this in a while. And despite some of his actions Marcus really was a decent guy
who wanted to protect his wife. Katia took a while to figure out, but I found
myself respecting her quiet dignity. So I loved the book, and I really like Bella
Jewel, but why only four stars? The ending- I hated it! I wanted to throw my
kindle across the room- and it wasn't the ending I expected (even though I knew it was coming). Boo!! So I will wait (not so patiently) for the rest of this.
