NEW REVIEW! Chaos Bound by Sarah Castille!

CHAOS BOUND
by SARAH CASTILLE

What happens when the power of love eclipses the need for revenge?  Chaos Bound, the fourth novel in the Sinner’s Motorcycle Club series is a vivid and powerful MC romance from Sarah Castille.  Fans of Joanna Wylde and Kristen Ashley’s biker romances will love this intense, rough and raw addition to the Sinner's Motorcycle Club series.

Title: Chaos Bound
Author: Sarah Castille
Series: Sinner’s Tribe
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 28, 2016
Publisher: St. Martin’s Paperbacks
Print Length: 384 pages

Love is a wild ride.
After enduring months of torture at the hands of the Black Jacks MC, and betrayed by his own club, Holt “T-Rex” Savage, a junior member of the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club, will stop at nothing to get revenge. But falling for a beautiful woman with dangerous ties to his sworn enemy was never part of the plan…

Raised by the Black Jacks, Naiya Kelly grew up fast, furiously, and with little to lose. But now that she’s put her MC days behind her, she is free to do what she wants—until she meets a man who imprisons her, body and soul. She swore she’d never give her heart to a biker, but Holt is the most passionate, protective man she’s ever known. But will Holt be forced to betray his one true love to exact his revenge?

See where it all began with book 1 of the Sinner’s Tribe series, Rough Justice.

MY REVIEW

Chaos Bound by Sarah Castille brings us to the end of the Sinner’s Tribe series, bringing us Holt’s story. We’ve seen Holt, also known as T-Rex, since he was prospect from the club, and is sorely in need of a happy ending. After having been tortured by their rival MC for months he struggles to find his place in the world. Nailya grew up in the Black Jack’s MC, but she’s not a typical biker princess. She has improved herself through education, vowing not to be swept into the world again, but she’s exactly what Holt needs.

This was not a typical MC book, and it was a bit different than the other ones in the series. It explores what happens when someone has gone through such a fundamental change they don’t know if they’ll never be the same again. Holt and Nailya was explosive, and she was able to help heal him in a way no one else was. The ending was unexpected, but fitting, and exactly what they both needed. Overall I liked the different tone of the book, and this was a great conclusion to an awesome series.

Book 3, Sinner’s Steel:

Excerpt:
“Is this because of what happened last night?” Holt wasn’t usually so direct. He had never been a confrontational kind of guy. Usually, he would go with the flow, but right now he was seized by an urgent sense of desperation. He couldn’t let her go, and it wasn’t just because he needed her to lure Viper.
“No, of course not.” She turned away, tightening her grip on the bag, her hair swinging over her cheek, hiding her face.
Yes.
“It was good you . . . stopped.” She stared out the floor-to-ceiling windows over the valley spread out below them. “I mean, you have things you have to do, and I have things I have to do, and they aren’t things we need to do . . . together.”
Together. Fuck. She’d thought about them together. Although he was pretty damn sure she hadn’t thought of them together the way he had all fucking night long.
“Naiya.”
“I made breakfast. It’s on the stove.” She slung the bag over her shoulder. “Happy revenge.”
No fucking way. “It’s not safe out there.”
“It’s not safe in here.”
“I couldn’t be gentle with you,” he said. “I’m a hard man, Naiya, and the shit I just went through just made me harder. I don’t have sex. I don’t make love. I fuck. And when I do, it’s hard and it’s rough, and that’s not what you need.”
“You don’t know me.” Her face tightened. “You don’t know what I need.”
The hell he didn’t. He could read the longing on her face; he could hear it in her voice. It was the same longing that had gripped him since he met her. The old Holt would have let her walk out the door because it’s what she wanted to do, and who was he to rock the boat? He didn’t know where that Holt had gone, but the man he was now was not letting her get away.
Without taking his gaze off her, he ripped the bag from her fingers and tossed it on the couch. Then he cupped her face between his hands and covered her mouth with his.
Ah God. Her lips were as soft as he imagined, her mouth as lush. Her lips parted on a sigh, and he touched her with his tongue. She tasted of honey and coffee, warm and sweet. He wanted her, wanted this woman with the broken soul, wanted to fix her, show her the beauty of trust and surrender, open her up and fill her with joy. Yeah, he wanted to fuck her bad.
“Holt.” She pulled back, her chest heaving. “I don’t want this. I just broke up with Maurice. We were together two years. It just feels . . . wrong.”
Didn’t feel wrong to him. In fact, nothing had ever felt so right. He tagged her with an arm around her waist and crushed her against him, the way he’d seen Jagger and Cade do with their women, the way he’d seen Tank with Connie. Dominant. Controlling. And damn it felt good. Taking what he wanted. Being in charge.
And yet at the back of his mind, he was assessing her responses, the way she leaned into him, her soft sigh, the flutter of her lashes, and the little hints that told him she was on board and that he wasn’t stepping over the line. He had a strong feeling Viper had crossed that line, and if he caught her, he would cross it again.
Naiya leaned in, melted against him. Pleasure rippled through his body, and his cock hardened in an instant. He dipped his head, drank her down, delighting when she moaned and tangled her tongue with his.
She broke away again, her lips plump and swollen from his kiss. “I should go . . . I was just leaving . . .”
Deeper. Rougher. He slid one hand through her hair, tugged her head back, and held her still as he fed off her hidden desire. Her hands came up, pressed against his chest. Holt tensed, thinking she would push him away. Instead, her arms wrapped around his neck and she pulled him closer, straining upward as she kissed him back with a passion that belied her words. She wasn’t leaving. Not now.
Not ever.

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense

Release Date: May 3rd, 2016

Publisher: St. Martin’s Press

Synopsis:

Can a love built on secrets survive?

Rugged, hot, and rock hard, Dred Zander is exactly the type of man that normally sends Pixie running.

Not dreaming about running her hands down his washboard abs...and lower. The lead singer and guitarist for the band Preload embodies trouble behind his quick smile and guarded eyes, and Pixie left trouble behind her years ago along with the name Sarah Jane Travers and the pathetic trailer her mom called home. With her abusive past in her past, she has a new life, a new family at Second Circle, and a dream of opening her own business. She needs capital and time. What she doesn't need is a tempting long-haired rocker or the paparazzi that follow him around.

But Dred has other ideas. Pixie's sweet hazel eyes, purple hair and kaleidoscopic tattoo of exotic flowers that swirl up her arm haunt his dreams, and he knows she wants him too. He just has to convince her. But as a juicy exposé threatens to expose their pasts, and a blackmailer terrorizes their present, Pixie and Dred have to decide what really matters and fight like hell to keep it.

MY REVIEW

The Purest Hook by Scarlett Cole is another winner in her series about tattooed hotties. Although this can be read as a standalone book I would recommend reading the other books in the series because they are really good and it helps to provide context for the characters. She switches gears by focusing on Pixie, who we’ve met before as the lovable and insightful assistant and all around problem solver. She is quirky and interesting with a history that will break your heart and make you want to help solve all her problems.

Enter Dred Zander, the musician who she shouldn’t have anything to do with but can’t seem to stay away from. Dred has his own problems, and although he seems immature in the beginning I loved watching the growth in him and seeing him take charge and take care of his responsibilities. This book was another winner for me, with interesting characters that made me want more of them, and an intriguing storyline that kept me reading until the very end. I like that Ms. Cole does a really good job of balancing reality and fiction, and her books always seem to hit the nail on the head. I cannot wait to read what else she has in store for us.

Excerpt:

Pyrotechnics went off all the way around the stage as the crowd screamed and cheered. He

hugged each of the guys, then ran off the stage to pull Pixie from Harper and Drea. The break

between the end of the act and the encore was approximately four minutes, and he had plans to

use them wisely.

Pixie looked at him, her eyes wide in shock as he grabbed her hand.

“Quick,” he said to her, tugging her down the stage steps. There was no way he could make

it back to his dressing room in time, so he hurried them along the black curtain that surrounded

the stage into a darkened corner. He pushed her gently against the wall, trapping her in his

arms.

“Watching you watch me, Pix . . . drove me crazy. You going to let me kiss you?” he begged.

“Please.”

Pixie looked at him and put a hand against his cheek. “Yes.”

He slid both hands into her hair and pressed his mouth against hers. Energized from the

performance, Dred struggled to rein in the need to kiss her fiercely. When he heard her groan,

felt her lift up on her toes to loop her arms around his neck, he was done for. She was more

than he’d dreamed of, and he’d dreamed a hell of a fucking lot. And yet none of his half-asleep

fantasies could match the emotions currently blazing through him. Her tongue tentatively

brushed against his so gently it was almost innocent. Well, as innocent as it could be when what

he really wanted to do was take her against this black curtain.

It was fucking heaven.

He slid his hands down her body. Pixie giggled when he gripped her waist to pull her close.

Ticklish. He’d have to remember that.

Not that he wanted to, but he needed to get back onstage. Fucking encore. He kissed her

one more time, tasted the whiskey he’d given her earlier. The telltale thump of Lennon’s bass

drum started to sound. He pulled back, willing his hard-on to take it down a notch before he got

back onstage.

“That was quite the kiss,” Pixie said shyly.

He took her hand and led her back to the stage, positioning her right where she had been. It

was impossible to resist kissing her again, and he grinned when Trent raised an eyebrow in his

direction.

“Agreed. As beginnings go, Pix, it was pretty fucking epic,” he said with a wink, and walked

back onto the stage to face the screaming fans.
